ENGLISH SUMMARY

Nanami's dream is to go to Tokyo and study at the classical dance accademy. His father doesnt agree because he thinks she can also study where they live. At the beginning of the story, she's practising and waiting for her turn in the performance. She hopes her father comes and thought of an argument they had, she asked him for a bouquet of violets, if he wants to let her go to Tokyo and if not, not to bring her any flowers. Suddenly a guy appears and they look at each other for a moment.
It's finally her turn. Meanwhile her family is worried because the father hasnt arrived yet, when he said he would go. The father is entering the building when he has a heart attack, and the guy from before, who was near, goes to help him. The father asks him to please give the bouquet to her daughter and he agrees. The guy goes to see the performance. Nanami's partner falls to the ground and she, worried, goes near and talks to him. The partner thinks she has ruined the performance and flees, leaving her all alone. She is also told to leave, but she refuses and goes on performing the marionette, and does such an excellent performance that saves the performance and the guy is ashtonished. When she finishes, the guy approaches her and gives her the bouquet from her father, and tells her what has happened and to go to hospital. When she arrives, her father has already died.

10 days later, she is informed she has some guests. Her first thought is about the guy from the theatre, but it's not him but a couple of men, to inform her that she has been granted to go to Tokyo to study at the dance accademy. Though she would like to accept, she refuses, she feels guilty about her father's death. One of those men, Yuki, talks to her and makes her see that her father would have liked her to go to Tokyo, because if not, why did he bring her violets? So she finally agrees and decides to go to Tokyo.

As soon as they arrive, they go to Jin's company, the director and her future tutor. And who is Jin but the guy she met at the theatre? When he sees her there, he introduces her to all the company and tells them she's going to be an actress. But she confronts him and tells him she's going to study at the dance accademy that she doesnt want to be an actress. He slaps her, she slaps him, and he slaps her again. She cant belives what has happened. Jin is a cold and cruel man. He tells her a lot of things she didnt want to hear. Yuki (the guy who took her to Tokyo, and Jin's right hand) takes her to rest. And where is she living now? at Jin's house. When he arrives and she learns about it, she only wants to leave. She goes out through the window and there is where Jin finds her, near the edge of the building, frozen and about to fall. She tells him not to approach or she would fall. When it seems she's going to really fall, Jin steps and embraces her. And agrees, she would go first thing in the morning. He asks Yuki to book a flight for the next day.

The next day, when they're going to leave for the airport, Yuki arrives and tells them that the flight has been cancelled due to the snow storm, and Nanami, thinking for a moment, decides to stay, but only if she's allowed to go to the dance accademy. In reality, she wanted to stay, because of Jin, she is attracted to him, in spite of his behaviour, and she wants to know more about him.

Nanami goes to Jin's company once again and performs a scene, everyone is amazed, but when she's asked to jump and turn, she cant do it the way Jin wants her to and then he tells her dance has limited her movements. At dance accademy she realizes what has happened to her and decides to do it better next time. So, once again at Jin's company she asks him for a 'table' role, and he agrees but warns her she cant move an inch. Once there, a man comes and informs Jin that his opponent is going to perform 'his' Marionette that very night. He's out of himself, he cant believe it and decides to go and try to ruin the performance. Nobody wants to accompany him because they all were actors from that other company, but then Nanami joins Jin and tells him she would accompany him. Both them leave and go to the other theatre. Jin is depressed because he realizes that Marionette is better than his. Meanwhile the other director tries to lure Nanami into his company and even gives her a bouquet of flowers. When she tries to give it back he takes her to the stage and then Jin goes to him and punches him.
Once at Jin's theatre, he decides to cancell the performance, but the actors remind him that they have booked the theatre for a year, so finally he decides to perform an old play, and that Nanami would be also in. She is surprised.
